Terms of Service
The service
Stay is an 18+ anonymous chat product. You get a nickname, one search queue, optional Stay+ filters, and the ability to keep a thread as friends.
By entering a date of birth that the server accepts as 18 or older, and then entering Stay, you agree to these terms and the Community Standards.
Your account
We create an account when you pass the age gate and choose a nickname. On a phone, that account is bound to a hashed device identifier. Google recover is optional.
You are responsible for what you send. Do not share the device with someone who should not see your chats.
Stay+
Stay+ is an optional Play Billing subscription (weekly, monthly, or yearly) that unlocks gender and location filters and priority in the match queue. Prices are shown in Play at checkout.
Until Play Billing is fully wired, purchases may be unavailable. Refunds follow Google Play’s policy.
Acceptable use
No one under 18. No sexual content involving minors. No threats, spam, malware, or attempts to break into Stay or other users’ accounts.
English letters only in nicknames, bios, and chat. We may close chats, ban accounts, and keep reports.
Content and media
You keep rights in what you write and upload. You grant Stay a license to store and deliver it to the other person in the chat, and to process it for safety and (for automated chats) to generate a reply.
Photos and videos in a temporary chat stay blurred until both of you add friend. One-time media expires after it is viewed.
Disclaimer
Stay is provided as available. Strangers can be unkind or illegal. Use report and block. We are not a dating service and we do not guarantee a human match.
We may change or stop the service. These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the Stay operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
